First Aid CPR AED Course (Pediatrics)

Presented by the American Heart Association

The American Heart Association trains participants on how to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. It reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) and the 2015 AHA/Red Cross Guidelines for First Aid.

You will learn about:
  • Medical and injury emergencies
  • Poison and environmental emergencies
  • Preventing illnesses and injuries
  • Controlling bleeding and bandaging
  • Child and Infant CPR
  • Using an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
  • Responding to choking in infants and children

Certification

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course Completion Card from the American Heart Association, valid for two years.
