Welia Health Volunteer Scholarship
For Graduating High School Students

The Welia Health Volunteer Group is proud to support graduating high school seniors who are passionate about pursuing a future in healthcare or medical sciences.
This one-time $1,000 scholarship, awarded annually, is designed to encourage students who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, and a commitment to serving others through healthcare.
Scholarship at a Glance
- Award amount: $1,000 (one-time)
- Who can apply: Graduating high school seniors
- Field of study: Healthcare or medical sciences
Selection Criteria
Scholarship recipients are selected based on:
- Scholastic achievement
- Leadership and involvement
- Financial need
- Demonstrated interest in continuing education in healthcare or medical sciences
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be pursuing educational goals in a healthcare or medical sciences field
- Be enrolled in, or planning to enroll in, healthcare-related coursework at an accredited institution
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
- Be a United States citizen
- Reside in Kanabec or Pine County
Application Requirements
To apply, students must submit:
- A completed Welia Health Volunteer Scholarship application
- Information about school, community, religious, and medical volunteer involvement, highlighting activities, achievements, and organizations
- A brief outline of educational plans, goals, and intended field of study within healthcare
- An official copy of their most recent high school transcripts
Award Details
- Scholarship recipients will be notified by their school counselor.
- Scholarship funds are paid directly to the college or university after successful completion of the student’s first semester.
