Welia Health Volunteer Scholarship

For Graduating High School Students

The Welia Health Volunteer Group is proud to support graduating high school seniors who are passionate about pursuing a future in healthcare or medical sciences.

This one-time $1,000 scholarship, awarded annually, is designed to encourage students who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, and a commitment to serving others through healthcare.

Scholarship at a Glance

• Award amount: $1,000 (one-time)
• Who can apply: Graduating high school seniors
• Field of study: Healthcare or medical sciences

Selection Criteria

Scholarship recipients are selected based on:

• Scholastic achievement
• Leadership and involvement
• Financial need
• Demonstrated interest in continuing education in healthcare or medical sciences

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be pursuing educational goals in a healthcare or medical sciences field
• Be enrolled in, or planning to enroll in, healthcare-related coursework at an accredited institution
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
• Be a United States citizen
• Reside in Kanabec or Pine County

Application Requirements

To apply, students must submit:

• A completed Welia Health Volunteer Scholarship application
• Information about school, community, religious, and medical volunteer involvement, highlighting activities, achievements, and organizations
• A brief outline of educational plans, goals, and intended field of study within healthcare
• An official copy of their most recent high school transcripts

Award Details

• Scholarship recipients will be notified by their school counselor.
• Scholarship funds are paid directly to the college or university after successful completion of the student’s first semester.
