COVID-19: medication therapies

Welia Health offers several medication therapies for individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19. Use of these medications is prioritized based on those who are most at risk of severe COVID-19 complications.

Paxlovid

Type of medication

Antiviral

Authorized use(s)

Treatment of mild to moderate symptoms in high-risk patients with COVID-19 symptoms.

Age eligibility

Ages 12 years and older

Weight eligibility

88 pounds or more

Other criteria for treatment

  • Test positive for SARS-CoV-2
  • Be within 5 days of the start of symptoms
  • Not pregnant or breastfeeding*
  • Patient must not be hospitalized

Emergency Use Authorization (EUA)

Molnupiravir

  • Patient must not be hospitalized
  • Alternative treatment options are unavailable or not appropriate
