May 1, 2020  /   Coronavirus, Press Releases  /   1-minute read

According to the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) website, there is now a confirmed case in Kanabec County. Over the past couple of weeks, the surrounding counties, Pine, Mille Lacs, Isanti and Aitkin, have also confirmed cases.

Welia Health abides by strict HIPAA laws and will never make public statements surrounding any individuals’ medical care. However, we want to assure our communities that we are prepared test and care for patients with COVID-19 symptoms. Keeping our communities and staff safe is a top priority for Welia Health.

Last week, Governor Walz called for widespread testing across the state. Welia Health is diligently working to improve testing capabilities for those with COVID-19 symptoms. We will continue to follow MDH’s guidelines for testing to slow the spread and protect our communities.

To keep everyone in our communities safe, remember to:

  • Wash your hands often and well
  • Maintain social distancing with others
  • Wear a mask in public areas
