Throughout the pandemic, we were committed to continuously revising policies and processes in response to the COVID-19 situation by providing a safe place to receive healthcare despite the hectic pace of change the pandemic brought to all of us.
Outlined below is what you can expect when planning to visit any of our campuses in person (for any appointments including family medicine, rehabilitation services, urgency services or any other service).
For any scheduled appointments, you will receive a phone call or text reminder message. If you are experiencing any COVID symptoms or become ill before your appointment, please call 320.679.1313 for further guidance.
Virtual visits are available. Please inquire with registration staff about availability.
Remember, if you are experiencing a medical emergency, dial 9-1-1.
For the safety of all patients, visitors and healthcare staff, masks are required while inside any of our facilities, regardless of vaccination status.
Proper protective equipment (PPE)
Welia Health staff will wear proper protective equipment (PPE) while in patient care areas. In some cases, full PPE may be appropriate and include some combination of masks, face shields, goggles, gloves, scrubs, gown, and PAPR (Powered Air Purifying Respirator) hood, all worn to protect staff and patients.
Check-in and registration
Our registration staff will remain behind clear acrylic barriers at check-in, please respect the space between you and them.
At this time, Welia Health is allowing visitors to the hospital and any outpatient service area (rehab, clinic, imaging, chemotherapy, infusion, etc.) at this time. There are some exceptions to visitors including:
- a limit of two visitors when visiting a patient in our Emergency Department.
- restricted visits to patients staying with us who are COVID-19 positive and or are under investigation for COVID-19 allowing only for sudden decline in medical condition, consultations with medical team and/or end-of-life situations.
Waiting room chairs and tables are arranged to support physical distancing and the number of people allowed in common waiting rooms and therapy areas are limited.
Separate waiting areas are designated for patients with respiratory symptoms and those without.
