Welia Health Scholarship
For Graduating High School Students Pursuing a Career in Healthcare

Welia Health is committed to supporting students pursuing careers in healthcare. This scholarship strengthens the future healthcare workforce in the communities we serve.
Each year, Welia Health awards a $2,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior from each of the following Minnesota school districts:
- Mora
- Ogilvie
- Hinckley
- Pine City
This scholarship is renewable for up to four years, provided renewal requirements are met.
Scholarship at a Glance
- Award amount: $2,000 per year
- Renewable: Yes, for up to four years
- Renewal requirements:
- Enrolled as a full-time student (minimum of 12 semester credits) in a two- or four-year post-secondary degree program in a healthcare-related field
- Maintain a cumulative college GPA of 3.2 or higher
- Who can apply: Graduating high school seniors from the Mora, Ogilvie, Hinckley or Pine City school districts
- Field of study: Healthcare or medical sciences
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a graduating high school senior from one of the four eligible school districts
- Intend to pursue a career in a healthcare-related field identified as an occupational need by Welia Health
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale)
Application Requirements
To apply, students must submit:
- A completed Welia Health Scholarship Application
- A letter of recommendation from a school official predicting the student’s future success in post-secondary education and a healthcare career
- A 1–2 page essay describing educational goals as they relate to a chosen healthcare occupation
- An official copy of their most recent high school transcripts
