Barb Ennis, CNP, to Retire from Welia Health

May 26, 2020  /   Press Releases  /   2-minute read

Note from Barb Ennis to her patients

After 22 years of advanced practice nursing, I am announcing my retirement from Welia Health (formerly FirstLight Health System). My last day will be June 30, 2020.

I began my journey with Welia Health as an RN in August 1978 when it was called Mora Medical Center, became an NP in October 1998, and have seen many changes and advancements in our health system over these past years. We began with paper charts and transitioned to electronic medical records. We have gone from writing prescriptions to electronically faxing. And now appointments and other communications can be made using multiple methods, phone, MyChart, text or the old standby, letters.

Our facilities in Mora, Hinckley, and Pine City have all moved from their original locations and have expanded exponentially, including the staff of family practice and specialty providers. I feel privileged to have been part of many advancements. I want to thank you for allowing me to be a part of your lives, the lives of your families, and personal health goals over the years. I will miss all of you.

As I transition out of care, I want you to know that there are also a host of family medicine providers whom I trust with your care, including four other advanced care practitioners specifically trained in geriatrics: Shannon Koski, APRN, CNP, Sara Nielsen, APRN, CPN, Lindsay Wagenbach, CNP, and Thomas Stearns, PC-A. Any one of them would be wonderful choices to meet your unique healthcare needs in the future.

Thank you again for allowing me to be your provider. Please call 320.679.1313, and a member of Welia Health’s care team will work with you to help you find a new provider.

Warmly,
Barb Ennis, APRN, CNP
