YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

At Welia Health’s Eye Care Center, we know how important clear vision is to your daily life. Whether you’re due for a routine exam, need help managing an ongoing condition, or simply have questions about your eye health, our team is here to help.

What age groups do you treat in Family Medicine?

Our Family Medicine team treats patients of all ages—from newborns and children, through adults and into older adulthood. In other words, one provider can care for your child’s check-ups today and your parent’s annual Medicare wellness visit tomorrow.

Do I need to see a specialist, or can everything be handled here?

With Family Medicine, we’re qualified to manage a wide range of everyday illnesses, chronic conditions and preventive care right here in our community. And if a specialist is needed, we have a strong network of trusted providers and can coordinate that referral seamlessly — so you don’t have to navigate it on your own.

How do I become a patient / book an appointment?

Becoming a patient is simple. To make an appointment at Welia Health in Mora, Hinckley, or Pine City, call 320.679.1313. We’ll help match you with a provider that fits your needs.

What should I bring to my first visit?

For your first visit, please bring a list of your current medications (including over-the-counter drugs and supplements), your medical history (including past surgeries and chronic conditions), your insurance information, and any questions you would like to ask. This helps us make the most of our time and build a care plan tailored to you.

What kind of preventive care services do you provide?

Preventive care is a key part of our Family Medicine practice. We offer well-child visits, annual wellness exams, immunizations, screenings (including blood pressure, cholesterol, colorectal cancer, breast cancer, cervical cancer, prostate cancer, osteoporosis, diabetes, and others), and guidance on healthy living. By focusing on prevention, we aim to keep you and your family healthy in the long term, rather than simply treating illnesses when they arise.
