The Low Vision Support Group is here to provide support for you and your family\, helping you live and work independently. \nWelia Health is proud to support this group\, which is sponsored and led by State Services for the Blind\, part of the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development. \nAs a community service\, there is no charge for this support group\, and everyone is welcome to attend. \nThe Low Vision Support Group meets on the fourth Thursday of each month from 2–3:30 pm at the Mora United Methodist Church\, 500 Clark Street\, Mora\, MN 55051. \nTo learn more\, please call Stacy Shamblott at 651.249.5118

DESCRIPTION:The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course\, presented by the American Heart Association\, trains participants on how to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. It reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) and the 2015 AHA/Red Cross Guidelines for First Aid. \n\n\n\nWhat you’ll learn \n\n\n\n\nMedical and injury emergencies \n\n\n\nPoison and environmental emergencies \n\n\n\nPreventing illnesses and injuries \n\n\n\nControlling bleeding and bandaging \n\n\n\nChild and Infant CPR \n\n\n\nUsing an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) \n\n\n\nResponding to choking in infants and children\n\n\n\n\nWho should attend?This course is ideal for anyone involved in childcare\, including: \n\n\n\n\nChildcare workers\n\n\n\nDaycare employees\n\n\n\nTeachers\n\n\n\nCamp counselors\n\n\n\nParents\n\n\n\nGrandparents\n\n\n\nBabysitters\n\n\n\nAnyone who wants to be prepared!\n\n\n\n\nCertificationUpon successful completion\, you will receive a two-year certification card from the American Heart Association. \n\n\n\nCost$85.00 (payable on the day of the class by cash\, personal check\, or business check). \n\n\n\nRegistrationRegistration is required.
