In the event of a concussion\, the results of these tests are used as a comparison to help healthcare providers make return-to-sport decisions. \n\n\n\nWhy is it important?\n\n\n\nThe disappearance of symptoms after a concussion does not indicate that an athlete’s brain has fully recovered.
