DESCRIPTION:What is baseline concussion testing?\n\n\n\nIt’s a series of physical and cognitive tests that measure healthy brain function before a sports season starts – and prior to an injury. In the event of a concussion\, the results of these tests are used as a comparison to help healthcare providers make return-to-sport decisions. \n\n\n\nWhy is it important?\n\n\n\nThe disappearance of symptoms after a concussion does not indicate that an athlete’s brain has fully recovered. Baseline Testing provides data that gives providers a clearer picture of the athlete’s healthy state and what type of results should be achieved when the athlete is fully recovered. \n\n\n\nAll student-athletes in grades 7-12 intending to play during the 2023-24 school year should plan to be tested at a Concussion Clinic.\n\n\n\nReminder — this is a pre-injury assessment; NOT a sports physical. \n\n\n\nStudent-athletes:\n\n\n\nTesting normally takes 10 minutesWear comfortable/athletic clothing and sneakers to the clinicIf you are not able to attend one of the testing dates\, see your school athletic trainerPre-registration is required — click here.

DESCRIPTION:Hosted by The City of Mora and Better Together Coalition of Kanabec County \n\n\n\n\n\nRide or bring your bike to the Kid’s Kingdom Park and learn about bike safety from the Kanabec County Sheriff’s Office. After learning important safety tips\, children have a chance to ride through a bike safety course\, and after\, enjoy a treat in the park. \n\n\n\n!! BONUS!!  \n\n\n\nKids who do not have a bike helmet are eligible to receive one from Welia Health. \n\n\n\nParticipants also receive a FREE pool pass from the Mora Aquatic Center
