Pine City Clinic’s northside location: A win for rural communities and regional commuters

September 8, 2026  /   Pine City Expansion  /   5-minute read

Fifteen years of care, and a major change for the clinic

For more than fifteen years, the Welia Health Pine City Clinic has served this community from the same location. Now the building is getting its second major renovation, and it’s a significant one. The upgrades inside matter but so does where the clinic sits: on the north side of town, built for three groups—the residents of Pine City, the rural townships that call Pine City home and the regional commuters who pass through every day.

Built to serve a growing region

Pine City’s growth doesn’t stop at the city limits. Many families who live in the surrounding rural townships call Pine City home and rely on the Pine City Clinic for their care—even though they’re outside the city itself.

As Garrett Estenson, Co-Project Leader of the Welia Health Pine City Clinic Expansion, explained, “A lot of the growth in this area happens in the townships surrounding Pine City, and those townships don’t have population signs. Someone who lives just outside the city limits still says they’re from Pine City, still has a Pine City address—but none of that growth ever shows up on a sign.”

That’s why Welia Health is expanding the Pine City Clinic, doubling the number of exam rooms and adding a specialized procedure room, allowing more patients to receive care closer to home.

Convenience for regional commuters

Located on the north side of Pine City along Old Highway 61 near Interstate 35, the Pine City Clinic is easily accessible for patients traveling from communities such as Hinckley, Rock Creek, and Rush City. Regional commuters can exit the interstate and arrive at the clinic quickly and conveniently.

Expanded access to care

The clinic expansion is about more than adding space—it’s about making healthcare more accessible. The additional exam rooms, rehabilitation spaces and procedure room mean more appointment availability and shorter wait times for the patients who depend on this clinic every day.

“The ability to have access to increased services right here in Pine City leads to more convenience and fewer transportation challenges,” Estenson indicated.

Investing in the future of Pine City healthcare

The Pine City Clinic’s location and expansion work together to better serve both regional commuters and residents of the surrounding rural townships. With more space and greater capacity, Welia Health is investing in a future where quality healthcare remains close, accessible and convenient for the communities it serves.

We look forward to welcoming you
